Astrodome
On Tuesday morning, the children spent a wonderful time in the Astrodome
learning all about space. It was a really good way to start our Mission to Mars
topic. We had a fantastic amount of parents/carers contributing to the cost of
this activity and would like to thank them for this, without your financial
contributions the school would not have been able to provide such a wonderful
event for the children.

The builders have not had a holiday….
Whilst the children have been enjoying their summer holiday our builders, and Mr Goodman, have been working hard. Within our current building they have installed a new cupboard accessible from the hall, moved, removed and installed walls, installed doors and lots more. In regard to the extension they have installed the main frame and started bricklaying. Tomorrow they plan to start putting the floor in place for the upper level of the extension.
As you can imagine all this work has meant that school staff had very limited access to the school building during the holiday and resources, displays and school furniture have been moved. On behalf of you and your children I thank all the staff for ensuring that every classroom was ready for the children this morning and for coping with the upheaval the building work necessarily involves. As and when needed we will let children and parents know as soon as possible about how the building work may affect them. |
